by Samuel Gopal
As layers of paint were carefully removed from the gurdwara’s historic façade, conservators uncovered intricate lotus and floral wall engravings. Dating back more than 120 years, these reliefs provide a rare glimpse into its builders’ craftsmanship. The restored temple stands as a symbol of resilience, reflecting the determination of a community that refuses to allow time, neglect or circumstance to erase a vital part of its identity.
