Women empowerment is a term many people take for granted. It’s like buying an organic food product; you won’t necessarily taste the difference compared to its non-organic equivalent. But if you visit an organic farm, you will see its significance to the environment and the workers on the farm.
Similarly with women empowerment projects, you don’t necessary see the results through the products they produce. But visiting the women’s groups will forever change the way you feel about these projects.

The Jalinan Warisan Kraf Orang Asal (Indigenous Craft Heritage Network) is an initiative by the Indigenous Peoples Network of Malaysia (JOAS) to facilitate the cooperation and exchange of knowledge between women’s groups active in craft making throughout the Malaysia.
