Lights, camera... Penang State Assembly!

The third session of the 12th Penang Legislative Assembly finally got underway from May 3–6, 2010, and the Penang Economic Monthly took a look behind the scenes.

The role of the Legislative Assembly is to debate and enact state legislation and policies. Other than on the first day of proceedings, cameras are not allowed inside the conference hall itself. The Penang Assembly celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
