ON 17–19 JULY, Penang Hill once again welcomes the world to the Penang Hill Festival (PHF). Organised by Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) since 2018, this seventh edition, “See the Nature, Feel the History”, promises three immersive days of exploration, discovery and celebration.
Set amidst the Hill’s cool, lush landscapes, PHF invites visitors to explore its rich biodiversity and harmonious blend of nature, heritage and culture. Having been designated as the Penang Hill Biosphere Reserve in 2021, the Hill stands as a tes-tament to the importance of conservation, education and sustainable development. Its deep rainforest, diverse flora and fauna as well as historical landmarks collectively offer a fit setting for celebrating both natural beauty and human stories.

This year’s PHF features 34 activities across 11 locations; there will be something for everyone. Visitors can look forward to guided discovery walks and expert talks by 28 speakers and guides, interactive hands-on workshops, captivating exhibitions, photography sessions and live performances. These are meticulously designed to deepen an understanding and appreciation of the Hill’s ecological and cultural significance. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, history lover or simply looking for a refreshing weekend escape, the festival provides countless opportunities to connect intimately with Penang Hill.
