Learning centre named after late Karpal Singh
The Penang state government has named its newly launched Penang Learning Centre in memory of the late Bukit Gelugor MP, Karpal Singh. Located on Jalan Kaki Bukit, Bukit Gelugor, the first of Penang’s learning centres will focus on Stem (Teaching of Science, Technology, English and Mathematics) education and is part of an RM4mil project which also includes the Penang Badminton Academy.
According to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who launched the opening of the centre, the Penang Badminton Association will run the badminton academy while the state youth development corporation will run the learning centre.
