Art

Open Studios Penang is a weekend-long celebration of visual art. Happening in various galleries, studios and other art venues across Penang, see works by leading Vietnamese artists Ha Manh Thang and Pham Huy Thong; established Malaysian artists such as Datuk Chong Hon Fatt and Ch’ng Kiah Kiean; and many other up-and-comers.

Charity

Would you like to own a piece of art for a good cause? With a number of dazzling artwork showcased at the Art for Goodwill auction, you are guaranteed to discover something priceless while supporting a charitable cause at the same time. Organised by Friends of Goodwill, the group aims to raise RM50,000 in aid of the Federation of Malaysian Thalassaemia Societies.

Run

Hit the ground running at the St. Mark's Community Fun Run. The 5km run is best enjoyed with your children and family. Participants can expect a race T-shirt, certificate and medal. Deadline for registration is July 1, so hurry and register today.

Festival

To bring the community closer to local art and culture, Bagan Festival celebrates Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Setting folks in the mood for a memorable Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Butterworth Art Walk will be filled with vendors selling ketupat, lemang and rendang; cultural dances to classic Raya songs will also be performed.

Competition

Build a robot at Robomania 2019, Tech Dome Penang’s inaugural robotics competition, where each participant will receive a robot kit, learn the foundation of programming and geek out with fellow robotics enthusiasts. Awesome prizes such as Alpha 1 Pro Humanoid and STAR WARS First Order Stormtrooper Robot await.
